Being a Star Guardian doesn't just mean being ready for any future threats—you have to be able to reconcile with the events of your past, too. Some things you just can't take back. Thankfully, holding off on the event pass isn't one of those things.

You'll earn potential Star Guardian 2022 Tokens just by playing, and the mission window will keep a running count of how many you stand to get if you ever decide to cash out. Just make the decision before August 15th at 11:59 PM (PT), or all your potential Tokens will fade away like a half-forgotten dream.

Progressing through the Main Story

The main story of this year's Star Guardian event plays out over a series of chapters, each three acts long. To progress through a chapter, you'll have to defeat two "bosses" by generating Starlight—45 Starlight for the mid-boss, and 90 Starlight for the final boss. Chapters unlock every week up through Chapter 4, and you must complete one chapter before progressing to the next.

It's about as simple as it sounds, but you probably have some questions. Questions like…

How do I Get Starlight?

Starlight is forged wherever there's a spirit of friendly competition—and even more is made if you win! Of course, playing as a member of the Star Guardian Universe doesn't hurt. The following missions can be completed any number of times for the duration of the event.

Star Guardian Bonds

Another Sky isn't just an opportunity to see the latest chapter in the Star Guardians saga—it's a chance to learn more about each of our shining stars! If you visit the Guardian Stories section of the Another Sky page, you'll see all the currently unlocked Star Guardians along with their Bond Levels. You'll immediately be able to click any of the available champions to see their introduction story, but if you want more than that, you'll have to forge a closer Bond!

How to Increase Star Guardian Bond Level

There are a few sure-fire ways to boost your Bonds, most of which are as simple as playing a few matches of LoL or TFT. But if you want to squeeze the most out of your playtime or are gunning to become buds with your favorite Star Guardian, you'll want to focus your playstyle. Read on to learn more!

General Bond Missions

Since the Star Guardians are all about teamwork, you'll be generating Bond just by queuing up. Playing as a Star Guardian (especially with their Star Guardian skin equipped) is just a bonus!

For real, though—these are stacking rewards, so if you were to play a game of Summoner's Rift as Star Guardian Akali, you'd earn 3 Bond across all Star Guardians, with another 6 Bond for Akali. Star Nemesis Morgana doesn't stand a chance!

Completing the top two missions will generate Bonds for all of your currently available Star Guardians, while completing the last two will earn extra Bonds for that particular champion! If you're looking to get even more Bonds for a specific champion, then read on!

Star Guardian Bond Missions

In addition to the general Bond-for-all missions above, each Star Guardian also forges Bonds in a way suited to their character and playstyle. The support slugger Rell, for example, earns Bonds through vision score and crowd control, while stab-happy Nilah earns Bond by slaying minions and champions alike. Note that these repeating mission objectives are active even when you're not playing as that champion. They're just happy you're helping out their cause!

Upon reaching a new Bond Level, be sure to visit them in the Another Sky event tab and tap their portrait to watch a short character-building vignette—and to unlock the tons of Bond Level Rewards shown below!

The ultimate magical teenagers pair nicely with the ultimate game mode, don't you think?

Ultimate Spellbook turns another page from July 14th, 2022 at 1:00 PM (PT) to August 15th, 2022 at 11:59 PM (PT) as it runs alongside Star Guardian 2022.

We've tweaked a few things to give it a little more SG flair, so read on!

• The Rift has been given a Star Guardian glow up, featuring SG spawn music, extra magical ult particles, and more!
• There's now an additional selection slot when you're picking your spells that will always contain an Ultimate from a champion in the Star Guardian Universe. ANYBODY can be a Star Guardian!
• Attack-Smite has been given several quality-of-life updates, including a special Attack-Smite Objective (to teach you the basics!) and a Health indicator to show how low a monster must be to trigger Attack-Smite.
• ALL THE DRAGONS!
