Become a real-life Sentinel in your community by joining The Sentinels Initiative, our newest social impact campaign where you can nominate a cause and/or nonprofit for grant funding from the Riot Games Social Impact Fund!
After logging in to the Sentinels Initiative website, you can nominate a cause (and optionally a specific nonprofit) that’s important to you and your local community. Each of the causes have been drawn from the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the world. Then, tell us why your chosen cause or nonprofit matters to you! And for the more creatively inclined, you can also share a photo or YouTube video to accompany your words. The top 30 submissions will win a $10,000 grant from the Riot Games Social Impact Fund for their charity or cause.
Submissions will be open from July 8–Aug 9. For more information, check out our FAQs down below!
In-Game Challenges
But the Sentinels Initiative is only the beginning! Because this year you can also raise money for charity by completing in-game challenges in League of Legends: Wild Rift, Teamfight Tactics, and Legends of Runeterra.
We’ve already committed to donating $1 million to the Riot Games Social Impact Fund, but we're going to increase our donation incrementally as players complete in-game challenges, like...
Legends of Runeterra (July 14 @ 10:00am PT – Aug 10 @ 11:59pm PT)
- 1 point per completed event pass level
Wild Rift (July 8 @ 5:00pm PT – Aug 10 @ 4:59pm PT)
- 1 point per earned Sentinels HQ level
TFT (July 8 @ 1:00pm PT – Aug 9 @ 23:59pm PT)
- 1 point per 3-starred 1-3 cost unit
- 2 points per 3-starred 4 cost unit
- 5 points per 3-starred 5 cost unit
For every 1 million points that players contribute to the Drive Pool, we’ll donate an extra $100,000. Together we can raise up to $4 million for charity!
Sentinel Olaf Skin in League PC
Sentinel Olaf is our newest charity skin for League PC. From July 8–August 9, Riot will contribute 100% of proceeds from the Sentinel Olaf charity bundles and select related items to the Riot Games Social Impact Fund in partnership with ImpactAssets.
We’re honored by your continued support to drive change in your local communities and by your willingness to rally around nonprofits. We hope you continue to work with us to bring light to our world in our future social impact campaigns!

In the case that your nominated charity does not complete or does not pass the due diligence process, we’ll work with GlobalGiving to provide some similar charity options.
