What are Prepaid Cards/Codes?

Prepaid Cards/Codes are a convenient way to purchase virtual currency in all our games without the requirement for a credit card or bank account. They can be  purchased in a range of local stores and online retailers and can be redeemed by logging into one of our game clients on your PC and entering the  PIN Code.

What games can these prepaid codes be used for?

Codes can be used for the PC version only in the following games:

• League of Legends
• Legends of Runeterra
• Teamfight Tactics
• VALORANT

Redeeming your card

1. Lightly scratch the back of your card to reveal the code. Do not scratch too hard, as the numbers may be unreadable. Please ensure that the card has not been scratched before purchasing the card from the store.
2. Log into one of our Game clients on your PC
3. Go to the store and click "Purchase RP/VP/Coins".
4. Select the "Prepaid Cards" payment method.
5. Enter the pin code from the back of your card. Do NOT include any spaces when you type the code, as our system will identify it as invalid.
6. Press the submit button to complete the transaction. Enjoy your in-game currency!

Redeeming your code

1. Your code will be issued to you either on an in-store receipt or a digital receipt where it may have been purchased online. 
2. Log into one of our Game clients on your PC
3. Go to the store and click "Purchase RP/VP/Coins".
4. Select the "Prepaid Cards" payment method.
5. Enter the pin code from your receipt. Do NOT include any spaces when you type the code, as our system will identify it as invalid.
6. Press the submit button to complete the transaction. Enjoy your in-game currency!

Redeeming your prepaid card in League of Legends / Teamfight Tactics:

Your prepaid card/code can be redeemed for RP which can be used to buy in-game content for League of Legends or Team Fight Tactics. 

To redeem your card/code in either of these games you will need to log onto the League of Legends client and follow these steps:

Firstly, click on the “Store” button.

Next, click on the “Purchase RP” button:

Select the “Prepaid Cards & Codes” option:

Make sure that the consent box is checked (as shown in the picture below), otherwise you will not be able to complete the purchase:



Lastly, input the card’s PIN in the bar and hit “Submit”:

Redeeming your prepaid card in Legends of Runeterra:

Your prepaid card/code can be redeemed for coins in Legends of Runeterra which can be used to buy items in the Legends of Runeterra store.  Log into the  your LoR client on your PC and follow these steps to redeem your coins:

Firstly click on the “Store” button:

Click on the plus sign button, next to the coins:

 

Select the “Prepaid Cards & Codes” option:

Make sure the consent box is checked (as shown in the picture below), otherwise you will not be able to complete the purchase:

 

 

Finally, input the card’s PIN in the bar and hit “Submit”:

 

Redeeming your prepaid card in VALORANT:

Your prepaid card/code can be redeemed for VALORANT Points (VP) that can be used to buy in-game content in VALORANT. 

To redeem your VP you will need to log into the VALORANT client.

Firstly click on the button on the upper right of the “Store” button.

Select the “Prepaid Cards & Codes” option:

Make sure that the consent box is checked (as shown in the picture below), otherwise you will not be able to complete the purchase:

Redemption regions/servers

Before completing your purchase be sure to check the T&Cs (the small stuff on the back!) to ensure it is redeemable in your preferred region or Country. 

If you are looking to redeem your code within the League of Legends Client the following will apply:

• Codes purchased in Europe are redeemable on the EUW and EUNE Servers
• Codes purchased in MENA are redeemable on the EUW and EUNE Servers
• Codes purchased in Australia or New Zealand are redeemable on the OCE Servers
• Codes purchased in Russia are redeemable on the Russian Servers
• Codes purchased in Brazil are redeemable on the Brazilian Servers
• Codes purchased in Turkey are redeemable on the Turkish Servers

If you are looking to redeem your card on the PC version of Legends of Runeterra, Team Fight Tactics or VALORANT the code is redeemable based on the country assigned to you in your account:

• Codes purchased in Europe are redeemable in any European Country
• Codes purchased in MENA are redeemable in any MENA Country
• Codes purchased in Australia & New Zealand are redeemable in these 2 countries only
• Codes purchased in Brazil are only redeemable in Brazil

Please note where cards/codes are purchased from unauthorised merchants or unofficial online websites we cannot guarantee that they will be valid and we will not be able to provide support in these instances. 

Why are prepaid cards not available in my country?

We're working to bring prepaid cards to more regions and countries. In the meantime, make sure you've selected the correct country! You can choose your country in the "Purchase RP" section of the client (only for League of Legends), below your available payment methods. If your region is wrong in LoR/VALORANT - click here to change it.

IMPORTANT!

Upon purchasing these cards, please remember to keep the card and/or the store receipt until you are able to verify that you have successfully redeemed the code. If any error occurs with the redemption process, your card and/or store receipt are vital in further investigating the issue.

Common Errors

1. CARD NOT FOUND

The code that you have entered is invalid and does not exist within our systems. Please double check the scratch off code on the back of your card or the code you received on your receipt to ensure that you have typed in the number correctly. Do not include any spaces when you type in your code. For example, rather than typing in 123 456 789, your code should look like 123456789.

2. DEACTIVATED

Every time a Prepaid card is purchased, the merchant will activate the card upon check out. If you receive this error message, it indicates that the code was not appropriately activated at the register, causing you to be unable to redeem the code through our store. Unfortunately, because this activation process is the sole responsibility of the merchant, you will have to return to the store to ensure that your card is activated properly.

3. ALREADY REDEEMED

If you have shared the pin code with anyone else, you were gifted this card, or you purchased the card through a third party vendor, the code may have already been redeemed. Please make sure you are redeeming the correct card if you have multiple cards in your possession.

4. TOO MANY ATTEMPTS

You have attempted to redeem too many cards! Please wait 24 hours before attempting to redeem more cards.

5. NOT VALID IN YOUR REGION

You may see an error that says "The code is not valid for your region. Codes can only be redeemed on their original region." It either means you're attempting to redeem a card that's only sold outside of your region, or that you haven't selected the correct country in the client. You can choose your country in the "Purchase RP" section of the client (only for League of Legends), below your available payment methods. If your region is wrong in LoR/VALORANT - click here to change it.

6.  DAMAGED CARDS:

If you’ve scratched the card too much or the card is damaged to the point where the PIN is unreadable, you can reach out to Player Support here and they’ll try their best to help you recover it.
