While we look into the issues causing computers to get stuck at the reconnect screen after selecting their champion, there are a few steps you can take to get things back on track.
Disable Compatibility/Run as Administrator
- Locate League of Legends.exe.
(It's usually in C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\Game by default). - Right-click League of Legends.exe
- Select Properties.
- Go to the Compatibility tab.
-
Clear all checkboxes under this tab.
("Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and "Run this program as an administrator" are usually the culprits, but unchecking all boxes is your best bet)
Disable Debug Memory Dump
In some cases, an issue with Window's debugging default settings may cause this error.
Try changing these settings through the following steps:
- Press the Windows key+R.
- Type sysdm.cpl, then press Enter.
- Go to the Advanced tab > Startup and Recovery > Settings.
- Change the Write debugging information dropdown to (none).
- Restart your computer.
Fasoo Software
If you see seef_logsvc.exe, f_LPS.exe, fClient.exe, fClient.exe, or fph.exe in Task Manager's Processes, Fasoo may be causing this issue, and you can remove it to fix the problem:
- Press the Windows key.
- Type Control Panel, then select Control Panel when it appears.
- Go to Programs > Programs and features.
- Find the publisher "fasoo.com".
- Select more >Uninstall.
- Restart your computer.
Citrix Workspace
If you see concentr.exe, Receiver.exe, redirector.exe, SelfServicePlugin.exe, UpdaterService.exe, wfcrun32.exe, or appprotection.exe in Task Manager's Processes, Citrix may be causing this issue, and you can remove it to fix the problem:
- Press the Windows key.
- Type Control Panel, then select Control Panel when it appears.
- Go to Programs > Programs and features.
- Find the publisher "Citrix" or "ICA Client"
- Select more >Uninstall.
- Restart your computer.
Security Software Interference
Security software like COMODO or Emsisoft can sometimes cause this error. If you use this software, these steps may help:
- Press the Windows key.
- Type Settings, then select Settings when it appears.
- Under Privacy and security, select Virus and threat protection.
- Select Manage settings.
- Under Exclusions, select Add or remove exclusions.
- Select Add an exclusion, then add these locations:
- C:\Program Files\Riot Vanguard\
- C:\Riot Games\Riot Client\
- C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\
VPN
If you've tried all of these solutions but are still having this problem, using a VPN may get you back in the game.
