The Public Beta Environment (PBE) is a League server where you can try out upcoming features that aren't (and may never be) implemented in-game.
This also gives us a chance to squash any pesky bugs you find along the way to ensure our shiny new content is well-tuned and (hopefully) glitch-free before it goes live.
PBE Sign-Up Questions
There are none! Anybody can make a PBE account.
Simply head on over to the sign-up page and follow the instructions there!
You no longer need a separate client to get into the PBE! Just follow these steps:
- Log into the Riot Client using your PBE Account
- Select League of Legends
- Click the small down arrow to the right of the Play button and choose League of Legends PBE
- Enjoy!
PBE Client and Account Questions
Nope. In fact, sharing your PBE account could result in a permanent suspension. Just have your friends make their own PBE account!
Don't worry—happens to the best of us! If you need to recover your password, click the CAN'T SIGN IN? button on the sign-in page for assistance.
When new content is released, we may have more players than we know what to do with. To handle this influx of interest, you may be placed in a queue before you can enter the PBE. Please note that when the maximum number of players is reached, the timer on the login queue may not update appropriately.
We add and modify content on the PBE daily based on feedback, so the servers are regularly taken down for maintenance for an hour or two. You won't be able to log in during maintenance, and the server status will show as Unavailable.
Your PBE account will not be affected when we reset honor levels at the end of a season.
You can find information on patches by visiting the League of Legends PBE Subreddit.
PBE Platform and Gameplay Questions
Nope, but you'll be able to do a repeatable mission for RP. Keep in mind that both new and current content will be available for their in-game prices.
The PBE servers are hosted in North America. If you aren't playing from North America, you'll likely experience higher-than-normal ping.
We'll be keeping an eye on reports made against accounts in the PBE.
Anyone caught displaying inappropriate behavior will receive the same punishments on the PBE as they would on the Live server—if you're banned on one, you'll be banned on the other. If a player refuses to clean up their act, their access to the PBE could be permanently revoked without warning or the possibility of appeal.
If you witness anyone behaving less-than-appropriately, be sure to report them through the client (or after the game, if you forget!).
The number of players in the PBE is small compared to that of the regional servers, so queues sometimes take longer to populate. This is also why you may wind up in uneven match-ups.
Bug Reporting and Feedback Questions
You’ve got a few options!
- Use the Bug Report button in the bottom-right corner of the client.
- You can also use the Bug Reporting Tool to report a bug.
- Another option is to make a post on the League of Legends PBE Subreddit. Here, you’ll also be able to see bug reports from other players. If the bug you found has already been reported, please comment on the existing thread instead of creating a new one so we can keep things tidy.
Not only can you post bug reports in the League of Legends PBE Subreddit, but you can leave feedback there, as well!
Feel free to submit feedback and bug reports in your preferred language! Most developers speak English, so we may not be able to respond in your language, but we'll work with regional teams as necessary to address non-English feedback.
